CORE Mind & Body is a fully equipped pilates and fitness studio offering:

Initial Private (pre-requisite to all classes and privates)
The initial private is a 50 minute session introducing you to the language of Pilates and its principles. This session is designed to develop a program for you through your personal body assessment and the evaluation of your specific goals and needs. With this class we will be able to help guide you to the right exercise regime whether it is in a private or class setting.
Intro Series
This series allows you to get an overall taste for what Pilates is with this combination of the 50 minute initial private, two 50 minute private sessions touching upon all equipment and a 50 minute core basic mat class.
Privates
A 50 minute one on one session building from the initial private. By using the information collected in the initial private we will create a specifically designed workout for your goals and needs by using the Pilates principles as a foundation. You will train in mat, reformer, cadillac and chair.
Semi Privates
A 50 minute session with one, two or three people building from the initial private working on the same level to create a specifically designed workout that incorporates everyone's goals and needs. You will train in mat, reformer and cadillac.
1/2 Private
A 25 minute one on one session building from the initial private. By using the information collected in the initial private we will create a specifically designed workout for your goals and needs by using the Pilates principles as a foundation. You will train in mat, reformer, cadillac and chair.
CORE Mat Basics
Building on the Pilates principles from the initial private and incorporating the basic Pilates floor work to increase your knowledge and start a routine.
CORE Mat Intermediate
Building on the Pilates principles from the initial private and core mat basics adding an increased level of difficulty to the exercises while working on flow.
CORE Mat Challenge
Building from the CORE Mat Intermediate to create a circuit type training. Increasing flow and pace to movement while challenging strength and alignment.
CORE Reformer/Tower Basics
Building on the Pilates principles from the Initial Private and CORE Mat Basics adding resistance training fusing springs and movement together for a unique and challenging workout.
CORE Reformer/Tower Intermediate
Building on the Pilates principles from the Initial Private and CORE Reformer/Tower Basics adding an increased level of difficulty to the exercises while working on flow.
CORE Reformer/Tower Challenge
A blend of Reformer and Tower work building from the CORE Reformer/Tower Intermediate to create a circuit type training. Increasing flow and pace to movement while challenging strength and alignment.
CARDIOLATES®
CARDIOLATES® is a fun, dynamic class which combines all the alignment benefits of Pilates with the physiological and cardiovascular benefits of rebounding.
AIS (active isolated stretching)
Active Isolated Stretching (AIS) is a series of flexibility exercises done with an assist rope. Different from static stretching, with AIS you only hold the stretch for 2 seconds while using the opposing muscle to move the joint. This method of stretching is known to work with the body's natural physiological makeup to improve circulation and increase the elasticity of muscle, joints, and fascia. AIS is recognized as one of the greatest flexibility and therapeutic modalities available and used to treat some of the greatest athletes in the world.
CORE Outfit
A Low Impact Outdoor Fitness class done in Maplewood's own Memorial Park. Combining Aerobic Walking and cross-training Calisthenics. Fuse your Body, Mind and Sweat with nature. Saturdays at 9 am, meet in the front desk area of CORE.
Low Cal Cardio
Low impact cardio class with interval calisthenic training exercises. This class will replace the CORE Outfit class (usually done outdoors) until April 1, 2010, when better weather returns.
Fusion Plus
A Invigorating, multi level, mat and standing class, blending yoga, pilates and sculpting techniques to strengthen core, mind and body! Set to uplifting music, using light weights, all muscle groups will be toned then stretched. If you enjoy yoga or pilates, this class will give you a chance to find your edge. Not recommended for anyone w/acute issues.
CORE Stretch Zone
Stretch Zone is a fluid moving stretch class with music, combining the best of passive and active stretch techniques. A full body experience sure to leave you at you best body and soul.
Cardio Infused
A cardio/sculpt class combining core training and rhythmic jumping intervals on a small trampoline, to strengthen and tone while stimulating the lymph system. A fun and challenging workout.
Buns and Guns
This class offers a series of strengthening and toning exercises that specifically target the arms and glutes. Have fun using a variety of props to get yourself in fighting shape.
The Pink Ribbon Program
This post operative exercise program is designed to offer support, strength, self-esteem and bring back quality of life to survivors of breast cancer. Surgery and treatments can make you feel exhausted and the affected area painful and swollen leaving you with a negative body image. Focusing on stretching and strengthening the abdominals, chest, back and shoulders will allow women to regain full range of motion to the affected areas in turn bringing back a positive body image.
Pre-Natal Pilates
A holistic program using safe techniques preparing women's bodies for a successful birthing experience. This unique exercise program touches on the needs of pregnant women from the first trimester through labor. The exercise used in this program will benefit both mother and baby by giving the education of anatomy and the birthing process. Stability balls are an integral component of the program. We ensure that women are acquainted with them as a labor tool so that they may be used comfortably and effectively during the birthing process. You will learn how to accommodate the changes that occur in the body during pregnancy as the body is prepared for labor while being realigned for birth.
Post-Natal Rehabilitative Pilates
Having a baby is a special time in woman's life. This class is designed to help heal a post partum woman from the trauma of birth as they re-enter the world as a new mother while regaining themselves and their bodies. The focus will be on rehabilitating the pelvic floor, closing the abdominals and realigning the spine. Using this gentle approach will help re-build the strength of the body from inside out.
